Rynn Lin Yu Zhong~

Tuesday's night the Malaysia male singer Rynn Lin Yu Zhong came to our MMU to have a music sharing with us of his latest 3rd album. All of us enjoyed so much with his vocal and at the same time his latest album are available for RM35. The emcee said: “If you support Rynn Lin then please support his latest album; if you love him then you can buy his latest album for only RM35.”

The emcee assumed that who ever support Rynn Lin will buy his album. He had used Conditional Claim in his speech. He also make an assumption that supporter of Rynn will buy his album.

Manchester United Rox~~~~

I had lunch with my friends and they were talking about the football match. I say to my friend: "You think Chelsea is going to win the premiership this year?" Because Manchester United had a good strategy and they have capable players in the team like Christiano Ronaldo. Then, I say to everyone that my silly fellows friend to stop thinking about Chelsea. Then, you can't fit with us if you are Chelsea supporter so I think you should change your mind faster. So I had use an Ad Populum appeal to Common Belief.

Barack Obama

Yesterday I download few video clips from cybertracker. It was not porn, it was not anime,it was not my favourite TVB drama, but it was video clips of Barack Obama, the candidate of next president of the United State. Thanks to the cybertracker I am able to listen This Although, Obama is a first black candidate in the election that never happen in the US before and not a famous person in the US in the past, but now Obama has a lot of supporters from different races and many people believe his ability to rule the country. So Obama is a capability person that can trust by everyone. Therefore, it is a Red Herring.

I want to be the next Michael Phelp~

Last Sunday I went shopping and I plan to buy a swimming hot pant and goggles in Jaya Jusco. I joined swim club in MMU to learn how to swim. I have zero experience in swimming before therefore I needs someone to advice me how to choose a good goggles. The promoter is quite good manners and she always prompt me to buy one of the swimming goggles brands among few. She keeps saying that this brand is good, the goggles produced by this company has UV protection, anti-fog coating on inner lens, the others goggles product not good enough and head strap easy to break bla bla bla. Besides that she also said: “Hey young man you look so cool with the goggles. It’s really suits you! You just like that Michael Phelp you know? I believe you can swim very well and have good vision under water.”

I found out that she is applying the Ad hominem circumstantial. She is the promoter to that particular company of course she will keep promoting the company’s product but not the others. At the same time she also applying the Ad hominem abusive where she keeps saying bad comments to others brand and she hope that I will buy the goggles she promoted to me. She also applied the Ad populum appeal to vanity or apple polishing. She assumed that I will be more happy for the words and buy the goggles from her.

Nugget+Egg=Ho Chiak( Yummy)

I went out to have lunch together with friends in food court. After we have selected the desire dishes we queue up to pay. Suddenly I found that my friend is hiding some nuggets under the big egg. The owner aunty surely won’t discover about it. After paid I ask him why he want to cheat the aunty. He said:” Don’t tell anyone about this. Actually this stall had always charge me for higher price for a meal. In return it is ok for me to do that.”

Based on what he said I know that he is using the Ad populum appeal to spite to persuade me not to tell anyone about it. I do keep my promise, I didn’t tell anyone but I can write the story out for my Critical Thinking assignment what.LOL. ^_^

Call me “Yao Ming”

I had a Dj mid-term test in the afternoon. If I pass the test then I will have a chance to be an emcee for the events in school. I was too tired after the class today then I decided to take a nap so that I can recharge my energy. I forgot to set the alarm to wake me up on time. Initially I will be late for the test but luckily my roommate woke me up and I “rocketed” to the studio from my hostel, hoping that I won’t be late. Too bad I was late for 5minutes and I wasted the precious 5minutes. I have to talk faster and get things done in a rush way. I can’t imagine what marks I will score but truly hope that I will pass the test because I do like to be a DJ.

I use the word “rocketed” so that you can imagine how fast and how rush the moment I run to studio. I had use Metaphor in my statement.

P/S: Yao Ming is with Houston Rocket team in NBA.

Easy or hard?

I was chatting with friends about our assignments. He said: “I think that Management subject is hard. But at the same time it is not as hard as I thought provided you must study harder.”

I found that he was using the Formal Contradictory claim because it has the opposite meaning of his statement just by adding a word.

Had you pay your tuition fees?

Few days ago I was chatting with friend and he asked me: “Had you pay your tuition fees? The admin will bar you from sitting for exam if you didn’t pay before 5/9. ”

I said:”Yes. I paid by internet banking.”

From our dialog my friend was using applying the Interrogative question where he tries to solicit some info from me. He tries to know whether I had pays the tuition fees or not.

KLCC-Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre

Early of this month I received a call from my friends and they ask me to go for the PC fair which held in KLCC and we hang out to KLCC together.

Somehow we face some problem to reach there because we have no car and we have to go by commuter train. In fact we need to depart different type of commuters in order to reach there. The only thing we know were we need to ask for help from the stuff in the KTM station. The stuff told us to take KTM to go to KL Central, which is the inter-change station for all commuters first.

Once we reach KL Central we have to ask for help from the pedestrian how to go to KLCC. Then a generous guy tell us: “You have to buy a ticket at the Putra commuter counter then tell them you want to go to KLCC and they will show you where to wait for the Putra commuter in order to go KLCC.”

Finally we were able to reach KLCC by Putra commuter train. But we have no idea how to reach to the KL Convention Centre. We have to look for the sign board in the shopping complex and follow the instruction given. At last we were in the convention centre and manage to buy the accessories for our laptop.

In this story we were able to reach to KLCC by applying the explicit knowledge.
